The Stone House Quilters Guild, formed in 1994 in historic Manassas, Virginia is a non-profit organization dedicated to the fellowship of quilting. The guild has monthly educational programs and workshops highlighting various aspects of quilting. Our goals are to educate the public about this fine art; to preserve its traditions, culture, and history, and to use our skills to benefit the community.
Our love of quilting and our community extends beyond meetings and workshops. Each year our quilters collaborate to create a Raffle Quilt with the proceeds from ticket sales being donated to a local charity. Our members also make and donate Community Quilts to multiple social service organizations and support the arts in Price William County through various volunteer projects.
Stone House Quilters is an informal group with approximately 80 members who have a keen interest in quilting. We would like to extend an invitation to visit us and perhaps become a member; whether you are a beginner or a professional quilter, the guild is happy to welcome you. We learn from each other, and we challenge ourselves to improve our quilting skills because of the inspiration of our guild sisters.
Each month the guild publishes a newsletter with news, events, and other items of interest. If you would like to learn more about us, taking a look at the newsletter is a good place to start.
